Job purpose

As a member of Enterprise Architecture team, the Solution Architect will help BorgWarner developing cost effective solution architecture for business initiatives. The SA will contribute on creating technology roadmaps, standards and reference architectures either at the business domain level or the enterprise level. The SA proactively and strategically support the support function team to leverage cutting-edge technologies to differentiate the key business capabilities.

Key responsibilities

  • Work with both business teams and IT business facing groups in order to capture functional and non-functional requirements and provide early architecture assessment and recommendations.
  • Analyze functional and non-functional requirements and translate them to reliable and cost-effective solution architecture that would encompass all the solution elements: Application layers, Integration, Data architecture, Business Intelligence, and Infrastructure dependency.
  • Execute on the current analytics architecture plan and modify it as necessary to accommodate new technologies and organizational changes.
  • Provide solution architecture in the Data Analytics space
  • Develop logical, conceptual and physical architectural models for the targeted solution.
  • Communicate architectural decisions, plans, goals and strategies to project teams and senior leadership.
  • Foster reuse across the enterprise and ensure the developed solution will be exposed for future potential reuse.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the organization's technologies and architectures.
  • Define EA standards and technology roadmaps
  • Initiate and deliver technology evaluations and recommendations with initiating POCs as needed.
  • Foster innovation through a continuous technology watch and help the business grab opportunities to introduce cutting edge technologies for solving business pain-points or provide innovative services to end customers.  

What we’re looking for

  • 5+ years as a software engineer, or a role with similar skillsets
  • 3+ years as a solution architect
  • Experience with cloud platform
  • Experience with data lake (Snowflake preferred)
  • Bachelor’s Degree or a technical certification with related work experience

$104,800 - $144,100
