What You Will Do:

  • Partner with managers, directors, and technical leaders within our organization to elevate our architecture practices to the next level;
  • Collaborate with and support technical leaders in making technical decisions while following our standards and guardrails/guidelines;
  • Assist other teams in identifying, prioritizing, and resolving technical debt and bugs;
  • Promote the adoption of best practices and coding standards;
  • Write technical documentation (including diagrams, data points, and graphics) and present technical solutions to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner;
  • Help define architectural principles and present them to different stakeholders (e.g., managers, technical leaders, directors, product managers);
  • Suggest, develop, and implement new tools and technologies to solve cross-functional problems;
  • Communicate and articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical individuals;
  • Identify potential improvements in our overall architecture, conduct proof of concepts (POCs), and drive the adoption of new architectural concepts across different teams;
  • Support the career development of other developers by providing technical guidance, pair programming, and/or reviewing PRs;
  • Actively contribute to our Backend community by planning, executing, and presenting at our Backend Guild to share technical knowledge;
  • Facilitate communication and alignment of technical backlogs across squads. 

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field OR relevant work experience in Software Engineering;
  • Strong foundation in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving;
  • Expertise in TypeScript/Java/Python and their main frameworks;
  • Experience with System Architecture styles (Monolith, Plugin, SOA, Microservices, Event-Driven);
  • Knowledge of Architecture concepts (Hexagonal Architecture, Onion, Clean Architecture);
  • Experience working with APIs and features;
  • Experience leading system deployments to production;
  • Familiarity with Cloud platforms (AWS or Azure);
  • Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases;
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies;
  • Familiarity with Monitoring, Metrics, and Observability tools (New Relic, Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace);
  • Experience with Agile Framework;
  • Understanding of DevOps culture, automation (CI/CD), and key tools;
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance practices (stress testing, load testing, TDD, BDD);
  • Advanced English proficiency.
