Solution Architect – MES Platforms
Parsec Automation is seeking an experienced Solution Architect with a strong background in implementing Manufacturing Execution System (MES) platforms. As an MES Solution Architect at Parsec Automation, you will play a dual role—advising clients on MES strategy and solution design while also architecting robust, scalable implementations of TrakSYS. You’ll be a senior leader within the Professional Services team, guiding discovery, standardizing best practices, and ensuring that MES solutions align with both client objectives and platform capabilities. This is a key position contributing to our reputation for consultative, high-impact MES services across diverse manufacturing industries.
What You Will Do:
Strategic Solution Design
- Lead MES architecture design based on customer requirements and manufacturing best practices.
- Conduct discovery workshops and site assessments to understand as-is and define to-be processes.
- Translate business needs into scalable, flexible, and maintainable TrakSYS solutions.
- Create high-level solution architecture documentation and support proposal development.
Implementation Oversight
- Provide oversight during MES implementation projects to ensure adherence to design and standards.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure solution integrity and code/config quality.
- Perform technical reviews and provide hands-on problem resolution during critical phases.
Client Consulting & Domain Expertise
- Support clients in defining their MES implementation roadmap, including integration with ERP and related systems.
- Recommend effective ways to configure and use TrakSYS based on client needs, industry context, and system capabilities.
Standardization & Best Practices
- Lead efforts to create reusable discovery artifacts, design templates, and configuration standards.
- Promote cross-project consistency and continuously enhance our delivery methodology.
- Contribute to knowledge-sharing and internal enablement of new team members.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Sales and Marketing to support pre-sales activities, RFP responses, and solution scoping.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering on feedback loops and roadmap alignment.
- Effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in MES consulting, solution architecture, or manufacturing systems implementation.
- Strong expertise in MES platforms (TrakSYS preferred), manufacturing process domains, and system integration.
- Proven leadership in client-facing roles with strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with MES-ERP integration and familiarity with industry standards (ISA-95, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on TrakSYS configuration or deployment experience.
- Exposure to multiple manufacturing verticals (e.g., Food & Beverage, Pharma, CPG).
