The Position
At Roche, we’re hiring a highly technical platform architect to help our Roche Business in maximizing the benefits derived from event-driven integrations built on Solace and partner with us for “doing now what our patients need next”. The Solace Platform Architect is responsible for defining and communicating a shared technical and architectural vision across the Solace Event Driven Integration system in accordance with the overall Informatics technology strategy and principles to help ensure it is fit for its intended purpose.

The opportunity:

Lead the Architecture for the Solace Event-Driven Integration Platform.

Design end to end solutions based on Event-driven architecture that includes tracking, KPI reporting and adhere to our architecture principles and guardrails
-
Ensure each solution component is designed to run as expected, has built-in observability, balances emergent design and takes a system view across the full value stream.

Design the system integration of the Event-driven components to enable the building of complete Event-driven based solutions.

Maintain architecture principles and guardrails that ensure high development and operations standards.

Define quality attributes and fitness functions to ensure high quality and fit for purpose solutions.

Drive reuse of Event-driven integration patterns across the enterprise
Who you are :
-
Bachelor's degree in computer science, systems analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience
-
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and translate plans into operational excellence.
-
Ideally 5+ years of experience as Solution or Platform architect
-
Proven track record of managing a Solace platform including technical roadmap, latest trends, innovations and enterprise adoption
-
Senior Expert-level knowledge and experience applying Event/Stream Driven Architecture patterns from design to at least one enterprise implementation including Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity concepts

Experience with entire data lifecycle including information architecture, data architecture, data management, data integration, data ingestion, data security, data privacy, data governance, and data analytics
-
Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services, particularly in building scalable and secure architectures.

2 or more Solace certifications as per the https://solace.com/learn/certifications/ website

Strong interpersonal communication skills

Excellent English both written and speech
