Working under minimal supervision, the Software Test Specialist tests software to find defects in a timely manner prior to product deployment, recommends and implements continuous quality improvement methods to find defects early in the SLC and works with peers across the SLC to make improvements resulting in a low defect escape occurance.
Essential Job Duties:

Work with other team members to define testing requirements for software applications and products.

Collaborate with cross-functional team members on story and test case development from requirements through development/test phases.

Perform rigorous regression, exploratory, integration testing using industry leading practices.

Discover defects early in the exploratory test.

Work to ensure that all testing efforts adhere to the SOP’s, WI’s and other related procedures.

Pursue a program of individual continuous improvement/education.

Participate in release management activities as directed by the Product Quality Manager as needed.
Basic Qualifications:

3+ years software test experience including Integration, Exploratory, Risk-Based, Functional, System

Ability to work within a co-located cross-functional team

Education Requirements:

BA/BS in computer information systems, computer science or related field, or equivalent experience of 3 or more years in software testing.
