Let’s talk about Responsibilities:

As a Software Engineer in Test, you will have the opportunity to work closely with mentors to apply your academic knowledge to real-world scenarios and contribute to the software development life cycle. You will work alongside talented professionals, learning best practices and gaining insights into different development approaches to do:

•  Coding and Programming: Apply your coding skills (SQL, bash scripting, Python) to design and implement data processing solutions. Use SQL queries and analyze log files to test various ETL & Data pipelines.

•  Dive into the Data World: Gain exposure to data engineering concepts and explore the foundations of data warehousing. Perform Data validity, accuracy & integrity test across different components of Data platform/Data warehouse.

•   Explore diverse tools: Learn and experiment with industry-standard tools like databases (Snowflake, MySQL, Oracle), Git version control, and more.

•   Make a Real Impact: See your work contribute to the efficiency and accuracy of our data pipelines, shaping strategic decision-making. Build automated data validation framework and tools to improve the Data warehouse data quality and automate the data platform services and applications.

•   Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and come up with relevant Data quality scenarios and execute them.

Triage production level issues by analyzing the production logs and work with development team to resolve the issues.

Let’s talk about Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s or Master's degree in a relevant field (Data Engineering, Big Data)

Possesses a strong foundation in programming fundamentals and Basic understanding in at least one programming language (SQL, Python) and scripting (bash).

Understanding of building Data warehouse and Datalakes using any ETL or SQL store procedures.

Understanding of ETL (extract, Transform & Load), data integration and Data extraction.

Hands on experience on Snowflake.

Understanding in automation tools and frameworks (e.g. PyTest, TestNG, or equivalent).

Experience with integration testing and developing test cases for RESTful APIs.

Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).

Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

Familiarity with code coverage tools (e.g., SonarQube, SonarCloud, Xray).

Has excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys problem-solving.

Demonstrates a genuine interest in data engineering and a willingness to learn new technologies.

Great interpersonal relations, team cooperation, and communication skills.
