We are looking for an innovative and collaborative Software Systems Manager to lead this transformation.
What You’ll Do
As a Software Systems Manager, you will:

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of engineers to design efficient and scalable system solutions.

Lead internal, external, international, and remote teams to develop the software elements of our products.

Partner with product managers and leadership to define product requirements and long-term technology goals.

Build products with a forward-thinking lifecycle strategy, ensuring their longevity and relevance in the market.

Align with smart home consortiums and coordinate with internal teams and external partners.
-
Work closely with existing teams to enhance product capabilities, features, and updates.
-
Develop and prioritize the software roadmap in collaboration with Product Owners.

Advocate for and educate teams on Agile methodologies and best practices.

Own and manage the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) while integrating it into our traditional mechanical product development process.

Ensure our software solutions are secure, reliable, and scalable, meeting industry standards and cybersecurity best practices.
What You Bring
We welcome candidates with diverse backgrounds and experiences. Key qualifications include:

A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in engineering, computer science, or a related technology field.

10+ years of hands-on software development experience with increasing leadership responsibilities.

Deep understanding of SDLC, DevOps, and DevEx principles and frameworks.

Proven experience establishing an SDLC for:

Firmware (embedded software)
-
Mobile and cloud applications (front-end and back-end)
-
Cybersecurity, maintenance, updates, and penetration testing
-
Experience with Over-the-Air (OTA) updates for battery-powered devices.
-
Expertise in cloud performance monitoring and cost controls to manage scalable, extensible cloud applications.
-
Strong history of driving continuous improvement initiatives, with a focus on customer-centric enhancements to devices in production.

Experience developing and managing APIs for mobile apps (iOS and Android), devices, and C2C services.
-
Understanding of Azure IoT Hub and cloud-native services.

Strategic IoT ecosystem experience, especially with Matter.

Experience defining, designing, developing, and maintaining an IoT data schema.
