Role; Software Quality Leader with DfSR, FMEA, FIRMWARE

Location: Morrisville, NC

The job description is for a Software Quality Leader and they are looking for a candidate with the following qualities:

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and ensure quality and reliability of software and firmware through DfSR practices, SW risk assessment & mitigation strategies, and verification & validation practices.

• Act as a quality referent in the Agile Offer Creation process, capable of using veto power during project milestones.

• Drive risk management using Design for Safety and Reliability (DfSR) practices.

• Be an expert in the fundamentals of software quality, including product backlog, architecture diagrams, SW FMEA, build pipeline, test lifecycle, safety & cybersecurity, launch criteria, customer feedback loop, defect management, and data-driven enhancements.

• Ensure deliverables meet quality, reliability, security, and safety criteria before product launch.

• Facilitate CX testing/validation of software with Customers Advisory Board (CAB).

• Ensure customer feedback is collected, analyzed, and implemented at every agile milestone.

• Adhere to secure development practices and review by security advisor, leading to certification by Product Security Office (PSO).

Qualifications and Experience:

• Education in computer science, software engineering, or related field.

• 5+ years of experience in software/firmware development and software quality assurance in Agile Scrum.

• Strong knowledge of software development/testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.

• Strong knowledge of software architecture, peer reviews, testing techniques, Qualimetry, and quality assurance processes.

• Experience with diverse software systems including communication networks, IoT, cloud applications, mobile applications, desktop applications, etc.

• Experience with electrical control products with embedded firmware.

• Experience with IEC 62443 and secure development processes.

• Extensive experience with various types of testing including unit, system, integration, user acceptance, regression, usability, and end-to-end testing.

Desired Skills:

• Proficiency in DfSR practices and tools like P-Diagram, FMEA, FTAs.

• Knowledge of Qualimetry, static code analysis tools & reporting.

• Familiarity with diverse software systems and secure development processes.
