Sealing Technologies, a Parsons Company, provides Cyber Security services and cutting-edge technologies to the Federal Government. SealingTech is seeking an experienced and strategic Software Product Owner to lead the lifecycle and market launch of our software products. In this key role, you will drive our software initiatives, bridging the gap between business objectives and technical execution. You will oversee the product’s lifecycle through development and execute a successful market launch. Your ability to collaborate across teams, manage product roadmaps, and drive Agile methodologies will be pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, cutting-edge software solutions. 

The ideal candidate has strategic vision, technical acumen, and leadership management experience, particularly in guiding software products through every phase of development and market deployment. 


Responsibilities include: 

  • Full product lifecycle ownership, lead software products from development to full market launch. Ensuring alignment between business strategy, user needs, and technical features. 
  • Conducting a comprehensive market strategy for each software product, including research into potential market segments, identifying target customers, and analyzing the competitive landscape.
  • Create pricing strategies that reflect market demand, product value, and business goals. 
  • Develop and maintain product roadmap, ensuring it aligns with both technical and business objectives.
  • Define and manage product release cycles, making informed decisions on backlog prioritization based on market, customer, and business needs.
  • Create and manage the product backlog in coordination with lead engineers, ensuring a delivery of clear business value.
  • Communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, timelines, risks, and key milestones. Clearly articulating product and feature alignment with overall business strategy.
  • Translate market and user requirements into actionable user stories to drive product development.
  • Ensure robust testing and development processes that ensure product quality and market readiness. 
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute go-to-market strategies, ensuring the product’s successful entry into the market.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • 7+ years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar leadership role, with proven success in guiding software products from R&D through market launch.
  • Expertise in Agile development methodologies, with hands-on experience managing product backlogs, roadmaps, and leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Industry-recognized Agile process certification such as CSM, SAFe, PMP, or equivalent. 
  • Strong technical background, with the ability to collaborate with engineering teams. 
  • Demonstrated experience planning and leading product release cycles. 
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels and clearly articulate product vision and progress. 
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field
  • US Citizen 


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
  • Previous experience working with defense or technology-focused products is a plus.

This role has an internal job title of a Software Security Engineer IV or V with a general base salary range of $131k to $180k. While this salary range (aligned with current national standards) may be broader, we are specifically targeting $131k to $161k for this position, set in line with internal benchmarks. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to the anticipated salary, one will have the opportunity to qualify for bonuses.
