Position Overview: 

The Implementation Consultant supports the tactical executable tasks for the overall project implementation including requirement/data validation and system configuration for new client implementations. The Implementation Consultant is responsible for contributing to and executing project plans, defining business requirements, issue management tracking and resolution, system configuration and functional testing. The Implementation Consultant must have outstanding analytical skills, communication skills, be organized, detail oriented, and flexible. This position will work multiple implementation projects at the same time and across time zones.

Baxter Planning is headquartered in Austin, Texas with offices in Spain and India. This role will be located out of our Barcelona office with the flexibility to work at home 3-4 days per week. Job Duties Include but not limited to: 

  • Work directly with customers, serving as the main point of contact and ensuring a successful project 

  • Collect and review project requirements with clients and work directly with team and clients to determine, design and implement the software solutions 

  • Act in a consultative capacity, advising clients on best practices and alternative design decisions to support a higher degree of flexibility in future configuration changes, as well as to utilize the capabilities of the software being implemented 

  • Manage simultaneous software implementations for multiple clients, engaging customers in regular strategic calls to ensure project milestones are met 

  • Keep well-documented requirements gathered from clients and provide weekly updates 

  • Research and troubleshoot issues with System Specialists and develop solutions for customer requirements 

  • Handles all migration responsibilities for Go-live 

  • Coordinates with different teams (DevOps, Production Support, R&D, etc.) in getting a customer environment implementation-ready, UAT-ready and PROD-ready. 

  • Provides proactive project communication 

  • Manages data analysis and system configuration during the implementation phase for multiple projects within multiple geographies 

  • Assists with gathering requirements, identifying and managing scope, and providing solutions to complex business problems 

  • Responsible for user acceptance testing activities (UAT) to ensure the successful delivery of the final end solution and all customer business requirements have been successfully achieved 

  • Provides timely and accurate daily/weekly project status updates to Project Manager

  • Manages & executes data analysis and system configuration during the integration phase

  • Supports development and deployment of the project plan working with the Project Manager 

  • Works with impacted functional departments to negotiate process changes, ownership of processes, and to manage project impact as needed 

  • Execute planned tasks such as system configuration, data loads and functional testing. 

  • Track and analyze issues through to resolution 

  • Ensure the primary objective of customer success in delivering value to the client is always met throughout the project 

Ability to demonstrate proficiency in the following areas: 

  • Consulting Knowledge: Independently conducts standard analyses to identify problems in methods, processes, or workflow; interprets results of analyses; recommends solutions to address identified requirements, problems, or inefficiencies. 

  • Supply Chain Knowledge: Integrates a broad knowledge of logistics and supply chains within customer organizations (e.g., product flows, information flows, and finance flows) to solve complex customer problems and develop strategies for accounts that will improve time to market of products, lower costs and maximize profitability. 

  • Quantitative Problem Solving: able to analyze data to isolate repeatable patterns and identify an optimal process definition, configure data transformations, and recognize product enhancement opportunities for functions, operators, controls etc. 

  • SaaS Deployment Knowledge: experience with at least 3 cloud-hosted B2B SaaS integration projects that include requirement gathering, environment setup, configuration, testing and go-live. 

Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Business, Operations, Supply Chain Management, Management Information Systems, or Computer Science preferred 

  • Experience in After-Market Services / Logistics / Supply Chain industry desirable 

  • Requires minimal supervision from a more senior manager; accepts considerable responsibility for project success; effective ability to assist others in the completion of assignments through knowledge sharing. 

  • Proven track record of ability to execute customer program portfolio of projects and services. 

  • Proactive approach to managing customer projects and overall business strategies. 

  • Experienced in leading matrix project/program cross-functional teams in communications processes to drive a proactive accountable service to assigned customer. 

  • Strength in communication at all levels of the corporate hierarchy 

  • Detail oriented, committed to deadlines and have solid verbal and written communication skills. 

  • Understand or capable of understanding database and application configuration concepts (e.g. payload structure, high level architecture, levels of data aggregation etc.) 

  • Ability to travel up to 25% on an annual basis, both domestically and internationally
