Department OverviewCommandCentral Records & CAD teams are responsible for building a brand new cloud hosted products that streamlines the capture, correlation and real-time distribution of mission-critical information for improved dispatch decision-making, increased responder awareness and safety as well as smart and context aware information retrieval. Both products are aimed at public safety (police, firefighters, military) and commercial businesses. The team is responsible for an end to end software development life-cycle that includes development, testing and maintenance of the systems we build.
We work in small & distributed teams of 6-7 engineers.
Job Description

  • Our team is looking for leaders who are passionate, proactive and fascinated by new opportunities to build CommandCentral CAD & Records solutions
  • Your goal would be to directly manage professionals on the team. You will be responsible for coaching, hiring and overseeing the technical direction for your team
  • As a leader, you will collaborate with a wide variety of stakeholders to ensure the optimal implementation of mission-critical systems
  • The role is for the greenfield project and as such there are plenty of opportunities for growth

Basic Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in leading software development teams (2 years or more)

  • Practical experience in developing moderate size software systems

  • Very good understanding of the software development lifecycle (cloud software)

  • Practical experience in programming large systems

  • Problem solver - able to work under minimal supervision

  • A great team player

  • Good verbal and written English communication.

Would be a plus:

  • An experience in managing the end to end software lifecycle

  • Experience with developing applications using public cloud (Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure) 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Math or related fields.
