The Role:
DailyPay is looking for an Engineering Manager to join our growing Engineering Team! The Engineering Manager will utilize technical skills to build service oriented architecture that is highly scalable and available to maintain DailyPay's leading role in the early wage access industry.
How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Design, develop, test, release, and scale new product features.
  • Participate in future product direction and help build engineering roadmap.
  • Contribute to coding, architecture for multiple projects and provide code reviews.
  • Encourage innovation and foster an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Communicate with stakeholders, product owners, other technologists, and users to create software based on an understanding of business and technical priorities
  • Use your technical experience to identify and mitigate risk such as scalability, performance, security, compliance, operational readiness, etc.
  • Anticipating future people requirements and working with the People & Talent to recruit, evaluate, and hire great new team members.
  • Manage a team of software engineers and assist them with their career progression and planning.
  • Providing performance feedback and complete performance evaluations for the team.


Essential Criteria:

  • 3+ years experience managing an engineering team.
  • 8+ years experience building highly-scalable services.
  • Experience in driving, executing, and delivering high-quality technical solutions
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with the proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Strong experience in developing and scaling web applications.
  • Good experience in building and maintaining large, tested, performant codebases.
  • Experience leading, coaching, and motivating agile teams.

Desired Criteria:

  • Experience building software application or services in the financial industry
  • Experience using multiple agile software development approaches such as Kanban, Lean, Spiral, Scrum, etc.
  • Working knowledge of NoSQL solutions
  • Experience in CI/CD environment
  • Familiar with cloud platforms and container orchestration

Pay Transparency. DailyPay takes a market-based approach to compensation, which may vary depending on your location. Additionally, this role may be eligible for variable incentive compensation in addition to stock options. Where a candidate fits within the compensation range for a role is based on their demonstrated experience, qualifications, skills and internal equity.
Belfast Compensation Range
£78,000 - £105,000 GBP

Hybrid Workspace

Employees engage in a combination of remote and on-site work.

Our office based employees are asked to be in the office generally 3 days per week. Remote employees will continue to have permanently remote status.
