About the role:

Fountain delivers a software platform for hiring, managing and retaining a frontline workforce. Our customers are some of the biggest companies in the world, and now we need the world to help us continue delivering on our goals. We need to find a great individual to lead and grow our hub in Mexico.
What you’ll be doing:
- Build, manage, and mentor an engineering team
- Build and maintain great products
- Grow a spirit of customer empathy across the team
- Move fast and with purpose, and your teams will do the same
- Focus on delivery of value, and quick iterations based on real feedback
- Lead from the middle, rolling up your sleeves and helping the team deliver
What you’ll bring:
- 10+ years working with technologies in our tech stack (Ruby, JavaScript, Typescript, React, Postgres, MongoDB and Elasticsearch, to name a few)
- Previous experience managing high-performing technical teams
- Experience solving engineering challenges in large-scale, globally-distributed, event-driven web applications
- Familiarity with adjacent functions (product, marketing, automation, operations) and a track record of working with them to get things done
- Use your development expertise to manage projects, priorities, and timelines
- Mentor other team members while raising the bar on design techniques and coding standards
- Experience with test driven development and a culture of engineering testing
- Strong communication skills: able to effectively communicate to team members, stakeholders and customers across many timezones. Business proficiency in spoken and written English is required.
Nice to haves
- Experience deploying applications to a cloud-native environment (we use Kubernetes)
