What You’ll Do 

KBR is looking for highly motivated rising Juniors, Seniors, and Graduate students seeking science, engineering, and software development opportunities that provide challenging and meaningful work experience to be a part of our current Intern class. 

 

As an Intern, you will: 

·       Support verification, validation, version control, and deployment of research and production code for the office. 

·       Learn the art of scientific programming, testing, and revision control. 

·       Work with senior members on tasks involving validation, unit testing, and regression testing of new and existing scientific code. 

·       Analyze scientific programs developed by members of the technical staff, comment on them, make computational improvements where feasible, and check them into a repository. 

·       Interact with members of the technical staff to understand the algorithms they are analyzing. 

 

As a Defense and Technology Solutions (DTS) Intern, you will: 

·       Learn and apply standard scientific coding practices 

·       Develop and contribute to new and existing code base 

·       Perform validation, unit testing, and regression testing of new and existing code base 

·       Learn and apply principles of software revision control 

·       Document work and make a final presentation 

 

Selected interns for this paid opportunity will have the chance to mentor with experienced professionals, gain experience, and establish a name for themselves in this high-demand career field. 

 

Anticipated Skill Set: 

·       Mathematics coursework at the undergraduate calculus level or higher 

·       Familiarity with Python programming language  

·       Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and other basic web technologies 

·       Familiarity with CLI and scripting using Linux operating system 

·       Major field of study: Engineering or Computer Science 

 

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 

Average 40 hours per week. 

 

Requirements: 

·       Must be a US Citizen 

  A junior, senior or Undergrad in good standing
