Job Title: Software Engineer

Previous Experience: Experience building and maintaining software with C# (and extended MS stack) and some cloud exposure

Location: Cambridge, UK or Milan, Italy - Hybrid (3 days at the office)

Employment Type: full-time (flexible working options available)

The job  

You will be involved in the design, production, testing & maintenance of the 3DVis Cloud streaming service. You will have to liaise with team leads and other team members, regarding process, progress & issue resolution etc. Play an active part in agile ceremonies such as: Stand-up, Retrospectives, Sprint Reviews.

Key responsibilities 

  • You will contribute to our product by building, testing & documenting new functionality through the development of additional microservices or by extending our existing systems.
  • You will ensure that all code is thoroughly unit tested and meets our quality standards & best practices.
  • Collaboration with the QA and DevOps teams will be essential to support and streamline the development lifecycle. 

Ideal Experience

  • Solid understanding of C# & .NET
  • A good understanding of what constitutes a proper, well-crafted software product. 
  • Hands-on experience with Cloud technologies e.g., Azure
  • Very good communication skills and be keen to demonstrate your work to your colleagues and stake holders in sprint reviews and to contribute to team discussions and decisions. 

Great Skills to have

Hands-on experience with Azure technologies such as:

  • Azure Kubernetes Service,
  • Virtual Machine Scale Sets,
  • Virtual Machines
  • Database & messaging services or equivalent. 

Knowledge of maintaining and enhancing a production system.

Hybrid working
