Sealing Technologies, a Parsons Company, provides Cyber Security services and cutting-edge technologies to the Federal Government. SealingTech is looking for an experienced Software Engineer IV to join our growing team. As a Software Engineer IV, you will work as part of a team to develop new tools, add features and capabilities, and automate system deployments and configuration to support the customer. You'll support projects using python and PHP, as well as Ansible and BASH scripting. This is a hybrid position where you will be expected to be on site at least 40% of the time.
Minimum Qualifications:
- US Citizen
- BS in Computer Science or related field
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
- 8 years of experience in system automation (Ansible, puppet, bash scripting, etc.) and software development (python or PHP preferred) (can be a combination of education and experience)
- Strong familiarity with Linux (Red Hat/Rocky) and virtualization (VMWare specifically)
- Experience with Podman/Docker containers
- Understanding of L2/L3 Networking and VLANs
- Experience with system/software version control and management
- Understanding of the function and operation of Defensive Cyber tools, including Splunk, Elastic, Zeek, Palo Alto, RedSeal, VMware, and others
- Knowledge of best practices in the realm of security patching, authentication, and log retention
- Experience with system/software version control and management
- Experience working with release cycles and product changes
- Experience working within a security framework for compliance and auditing
- Ability to work both as a member of a team as well as independently as required
- Ability to write, document, and maintain processes and procedures related to architecture changes, engineering efforts, and security compliance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Secret clearance or higher
- Security+ Certification
This role has an internal job title of a Software Security Engineer III or IV with a general base salary range of $131k to $153k. While this salary range (aligned with current national standards) may be broader, we are specifically targeting $130k to $148k for this position, set in line with internal benchmarks. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to the anticipated salary, one will have the opportunity to qualify for bonuses.
