About The Role: The Software Engineer- Team Lead at Rev.io plays a pivotal role in providing technical direction and support to their team, acting as the first point of contact for technical decisions and prioritizing work as needed. This role is essential for ensuring that the team's architectural vision is executed effectively and that team members have the information they need to complete their tasks. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical direction and support, making final decisions on technical matters when required. 
  • Work Prioritization: Help prioritize the team's work to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives. This would include sprint planning and refinement. 
  • Hands-on Development: Contributes to the codebase, especially for critical or complex areas. 
  • Mentoring: Focus on technical mentoring. This role will aim toward offering guidance and support to help team members develop their skills and work towards progression. 
  • Team Collaboration: Lead team working sessions and swarms to help remove any silos. 
  • Execution: Ensure that the architectural vision for the product is executed by the engineers on your team.
  • Problem Solving: Serve as the go-to person for team questions and ensure that individuals have the necessary information to get their work done. 
  • Write efficient, scalable code and perform code reviews in .NET, SQL, React/Typescript, or Laravel. 
  • Develop complex features and optimize existing code. 
  • Lead design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions. 
  • Collaborate with product managers and designers to deliver high-quality software. 
  • Ensure adherence to development standards and best practices. 
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues. 
  • Continuously improve code quality and performance. 
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and sprint planning. 
  • Keep up with new technologies and industry trends. 
  • Regularly provide mentorship sessions with Engineer I’s and below. 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience. 
  • 3-5 years of experience in software development. 
  • Proficiency in multiple technologies including .NET, SQL, React/Typescript, and Laravel. 
  • Azure cloud experience a plus. 
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns and principles. 
  • Experience with code review processes and tools. 
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Strong communication and leadership skills. 
  • Experience with cloud services and DevOps practices is a plus. 
  • Passion for continuous learning and improvement.
