Job Description

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our R&D Cranial Setup Planning & Guidance team. In this role, you’ll apply your software development expertise to build medical‑application software and support the medical‑device release process by supporting with critical documentation, risk management as well as verification and validation activities alongside your development work.

Typical areas of responsibility include:

  • Design and implementation of robust software that helps the user plan cranial setups using technologies such as modern C++ , C# and HTML5
  • Close collaboration and communication with software engineering specialists from other R&D teams
  • Use of Brainlabs framework code base to realize all fields of our software like data handling, application logic, visualization and graphical user interface
  • Creation of the medical device product documentation (e.g. risk management)
  • Documentation of code and architecture in accordance with medical standards
  • Definition and review of technical concepts
  • Definition and execution of verification and validation activities
  • Communication and close collaboration with other R&D departments (QM, QA, Usability, Purchasing, Applications) and manufacturers

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Experience in C++
  • Passion for innovative high-tech products and technological advancement.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and documentation skills in English
  • Willingness to learn new technologies
  • Well-organized and clearly structured, agile working style.
