Building a team starts with valuing the team. We hire the best of the best to ensure you’re working with people you can constantly learn from. You’re trusted to get your work done your way while testing the limits of what’s possible and what’s next. We work hard to provide a culture where everyone feels supported, and our employees feel it—their votes helped us become one of Newsweek's Top 100 Global Most Loved Workplaces in 2023.
We also value sports. Not just because of the big wins and highlight-worthy plays, but because of the lasting impact sports can have: the lifelong lessons in teamwork and dedication; the influence of inspiring mentors; the priceless opportunities to play at the next level. Sports can change lives—that’s what we value.
Our team helps the world see sports differently through products that make it easier to capture video, analyze data, share highlights and do a lot more.

We’re looking for a Software Engineer II to join our team working on products for our Elite North American market, which includes American Football, Basketball, Ice Hockey and Football. The top teams use our products to help them excel, and we’re looking for the best engineers to help build them.
As an Engineer, you’ll:
- Work with a cross-functional team. You’ll collaborate with Engineering, Quality Assurance, Product, Design and Scrum disciplines to deliver full-stack web features.
- Develop and deliver. Your team has the autonomy to make a meaningful impact across the entire product area, listen to customers' needs and deliver game-changing features to push the boundaries of what they can achieve. Your team is empowered to take ownership of the user experience to support our coaches and athletes.
- Test new ideas. At Hudl, we iterate rapidly, deploying changes to the product hundreds of times daily across our Engineering team. Outside of working on concrete features, you’ll have the opportunity to propose solutions to more ambiguous technical problems and provide guidance to less experienced engineers.
For this role, we're currently considering candidates who live within a commuting distance of our office in Angel, London. Our flexible working policy supports a healthy work/life balance while valuing the benefit of being in the office.
Must-Haves
- Exposure to mature, full-stack web applications. You have several years of commercial experience building across most or all levels of a web application, from the client-side code down to the database.
- Comfortable with uncertainty. You appreciate ambiguous work with many possible implementation options because it allows you to identify the best solution that pragmatically balances quality, consistency and delivering immediate customer value.
- Curious. You’ve picked up new technologies and domains on the job—working across myriad layers of the stack energises you.
- Adaptable. You’re used to working with many possible implementation options and know how to identify the one that pragmatically balances quality, consistency and delivering immediate customer value.
- A strong communicator. You can express yourself quickly and clearly and convey technical concepts and trade-offs to cross-functional stakeholders.
Nice-to-Haves
- Professional background in C#/Node, React, database technologies such as MongoDB/Doc CB and ElasticSearch, AWS. Adjacent languages, frameworks and services used at scale are relevant experiences, but a direct background in our core technologies is a plus.
