Position Description
Our Engineers works with our Sr Engineer and Staff Engineers to innovate and build new systems, improve, and enhance existing systems as well as identify new opportunities to apply your knowledge to solve critical problems. You will contribute to the strategy and execution of a technical implementation to deliver valuable software and infrastructure tools. The Cluster Management team is dedicated to realizing a secure, reliable, scalable, and highly efficient next-generation container cluster management and orchestration platform on Kubernetes. We seek an ideal candidate with strong technical expertise in software engineering, containers, and upstream Kubernetes, along with proficiency in the OpenStack IaaS platform.
Position Responsibilities
As an Engineer, you will:

Collaborate with product managers, team members, customers, and other engineering teams to solve our toughest problems

Execute a strategic software development plan for IaaS, encompassing containers, cluster management, Kubernetes, and OpenStack. Prioritize security, optimization for performance and efficiency across the entire development lifecycle.

Work across engineering teams to ensure that we provide a frictionless experience to our customers, maintaining the highest standards of protection and availability

Deliver high-quality technology products and services in a hyper-growth environment where priorities shift quickly

Scope, design, and build scalable, resilient distributed systems

Engage in cross-functional collaboration throughout the entire software lifecycle

Participate in design sessions and code reviews with peers to elevate the quality of engineering across the organization
Qualifications
-
Software engineering and system architecture background.
-
Experience with REST APIs, Microservices, and containers.

Experience with Kubernetes
-
Practical knowledge and experience in Linux operating systems, internals, and command-line utilities.

Proficient in Python, Go, or Shell scripting.
-
Experience in system design, implementation best practices, and testing methodologies.

Familiar with security best practices for secure configurations and data protection.
-
In-depth knowledge of computer science data structures and algorithms, coupled with strong problem-solving abilities.
Bonus Points

Familiarity with OpenStack IaaS for Kubernetes cluster provisioning is highly desired.

Familiarity with security protocols and products, including Active Directory, Windows Authentication, SAML, and OAuth.

Understanding of containerization technologies like Docker, Podman, and Rancher.

Familiarity with technologies such as ArgoCD, KubeVirt, and Cluster API (CAPI).

Proficient in Kubernetes (K8s) with hands-on experience in cluster provisioning and management.

Experience using automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform) for streamlined infrastructure provisioning.
Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience.
Annual Salary
$55,000.00 - $160,000.00
The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
