Team Description
We are looking for candidates interested in an entry level position on a Software Development team distributed across the Americas. The focus of the job will be all phases of testing automation, along with work on mobile and backend systems depending on the engineer's skillsets and preferences.
If you are somebody that likes understanding how systems interact, including solving potential problems and difficulties that may occur, this is a great fit for you!
The team builds and maintains a large multi-platform system used by hotels around the world to manage their internal operations, such as room service. This is a very interesting system comprised of web and mobile (iOS, Android), as well as programmatic APIs hosted on the Cloud.
Role and Responsibilities
What will you achieve?

Review requirements and participate in feature design reviews

Consult with development engineers, business analysts and system architects in resolution of problems

Under general direction, debug complex software products by using systematic tests to develop, apply and maintain quality standards for company products
-
Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
-
Prepare test strategy, test cases, reports, documentation updates
-
Troubleshoot and fix problems reported on both Backend and Mobile/Web applications

Participate in the release process of Cloud hosted backend and web systems as well as Mobile App-Store hosted applications.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Either backend or front-end programming experience
-
Experience with version control systems, such as Git
-
Experience with either Python or mobile app frameworks, such as Flutter
-
QA automation experience is a plus - Unit and Integration testing

Formal education on Computer Science, on-going or completed
-
Intermediate English level both verbal and written

Other nice to have:

MySQL or other SQL-based experience

GCP or other Public Cloud provider experience

The internship period is 6 months, with the possibility of extension. It is a part-time modality, with a daily commitment of 6 hours.
