<h1>About the Role</h1>
<p>We are looking for a backend-focused full stack engineer to join our Platform team and own our destination integrations.</p>
<p>In this role, you will build and improve the destinations that move customer data from warehouses to hundreds of SaaS tools.</p>
<p>This is an opportunity to ship code daily that solves real problems for users. On this small team, each engineer plays an important role in expanding our destination catalog to fuel the next phase of Hightouch's growth.</p>
<p>Your responsibilities will include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Working with a wide variety of APIs</li>
<li>Developing new destination features and integrations based on customer needs</li>
<li>Working cross-functionally with other teams in engineering, product, design, customer success, and sales</li>
<li>Debugging and improving existing destinations through code reviews and customer support tickets</li>
<li>Helping guide technical direction and priorities for destinations and UX</li>
<li>Communicating with customers and coworkers to understand requirements and explain solutions</li>
<li>Writing code that is scalable, maintainable, and meets our high bar for quality</li>
</ul>
<p>We are looking for engineers who are eager to ship quickly, take ownership of their work, and learn new things every day. This role requires both strong technical skills and great communication abilities.</p>
<p>We are looking for talented, intellectually curious, and motivated individuals who are interested in tackling the problems above. The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $170,000 USD per year, which is location independent in accordance with our remote-first policy. We also offer meaningful equity compensation in the form of ISO options, and offer early exercise and a 10 year post-termination exercise window.</p>
<h1>Interview Process</h1>
<p>Our interview process focuses on evaluating fit for the most important dimensions of the role: product sense, ability to understand customer use cases and needs, and competency implementing solutions with different APIs.</p>
<ol>
<li><strong>Intro Call [15-30m]</strong>: Introductory call with either a member of our recruiting team or the hiring manager to get to know each other and see if the role could be a good mutual fit.</li>
<li><strong>Take-Home Coding Exercise [3-4h]</strong>: Implement a basic version of a Hightouch destination to see what it’s like to work on reverse ETL.</li>
<li><strong>Product Interview [90m]:</strong> Consider customer use cases live and translate them into technical decisions.</li>
<li><strong>Technical Project Interview [60m]</strong>: Work with the interviewer to deep-dive on a complex integration problem and design a solution based on customer and technical requirements.</li>
<li><strong>Hiring Manager Interview [30m]</strong>: Chat with hiring manager about past experiences and future operating preferences to assess fit on company values and operating principles.</li>
