What We Need

We’re looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test to help drive the automated testing initiatives on our ad exchange. You should be passionate about software quality, cloud technologies, user centered design and have experience in leading test automation efforts. You will focus on proactively identifying problems to not only enhance the quality of user experiences when viewing ads on publisher pages but also enhance the quality of the application tools that support our ad exchange. You will carry out functional integration testing between the company’s applications, products, and services. We are looking for someone comfortable operating in an environment with complex systems. 


What You Can Expect in This Role

  • Create and develop automated testing frameworks for desktop & mobile web, Android, iOS, APIs
  • Design and implement automated test cases
  • Develop CI/CD pipelines
  • Perform end-to-end testing of automation processes
  • Assess and understand the flow of code and its interaction with various processes/components
  • Understand project documents, customer demands, and product objectives to create and execute test cases
  • Investigate customer problems, create and manage bug reports
  • Troubleshoot bugs and other issues on mobile, desktop, and web-based platforms
  • Troubleshoot automation builds, scripts and execution
  • Handle technical communications and work with Product Management, Application Development, DevOps, and other technical teams
  • Coordinate on product design and offer inputs on the testability of functional elements and product designs
  • Mentor junior engineers on the team
  • Research test tools, methodologies, current trends and upgrade existing practices and processes
  • Manage the final quality on production release
  • Expand the capabilities of the framework to support the completion of automated tests against different testing environments


Requirements

  • ​​Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • 6+ years of work experience in Quality Engineering
  • 4+ years of work experience in software automation
  • Deep understanding of programming languages such as Java or any other object-oriented programming
  • Experience in open-source tools such as Selenium, Appium, TestNG/JUnit, Allure, Saucelabs etc.
  • Experience in automation of services/API software layers (e.g. UI, services, APIs, etc.) and debugging, and optimizing of applications/ automated test scripts
  • Minimum understanding of design patterns, data structures, and layered architecture with knowledge of applying those aspects in test environment.
  • Accurate Knowledge of CI/CD technologies (e.g. Jenkins, Git, Maven, GitHub etc.)
  • Experienced in conducting automation testing in multiple platforms such as Mobile & Desktop Web, Android, iOS, and Backend API (REST API)
  • Experience managing and writing testing cases for full stack web applications and mobile web/native applications
  • Experience in DB systems such as mySQL and Snowflake
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to identify risks and errors in applications
  • Team-oriented, with the ability to build relationships and rapport within and across teams


Hiring Process

Select candidates will be invited to schedule a 30-minute screening call with a member of our Talent Acquisition team. We will discuss the Hiring Process details at that time. The hiring process typically includes, but is not limited to:

  • A 60-minute video interview with the Hiring Manager.
  • Candidates will be invited to join a remote on-site interview round, consisting of video interviews with various team members and leadership.
  • Successful candidates will subsequently be made an offer.

  • Ad tech experience (SSPs, DSPs, Analytics, DMPs, CDPs)
  • Experience with JavaScript/Typescript, CSS3, HTML5, SQL
  • Knowledge or experience in performance testing – Jmeter etc.
  • Experience with React for UI automation testing
  • Experience with shell scripting
  • Microservices architecture experience
  • Exposure to the AWS cloud environment
  • Experience working in an agile, fast paced environment

US Jobs: The base salary range for this role is: $50,000-$60,000 per year. The range listed is just one component of Yieldmo's total compensation package for employees. Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including experience, level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company. We recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted. In these situations, the updated salary range will be communicated with you as a candidate. For all other countries, we have competitive pay bands based on market standards.
