Description
TherapyNotes is seeking a Software Developer to join our growing team. We are looking for a software engineer skilled in building and maintaining scalable, responsive web applications and services using React/Next.js and .NET Core. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in implementing robust APIs using event-based software design and adhering to Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) principles.
Responsibilities
- Perform full-stack development including front end, business logic, and data access layers.
- Responsible for the entire development lifecycle from planning to release and support
- Actively contribute to software architecture decisions, design strategies, and code reviews to ensure high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions
- Collaborate closely with development team members and stakeholders
- Maintain high standards, attention to detail, accuracy and completeness
Requirements
- 3+ years developing software in an Agile, team-based environment
- 1+ years developing responsive web applications
- BS and/or MS in a technical discipline (Computer Science or Software Engineering preferred)
- Strong understanding of OOP concepts and design patterns
- Expertise with Angular, ASP.NET Core, C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, SASS, and HTML
- Experience in building robust APIs and adhering to Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) principles
- Familiarity with event-based software design and event-driven architecture
- Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases, and Entity Framework Core or similar object-relational mapping frameworks

The heart of TherapyNotes™ is the notes system. Whereas most practice management systems offer a generic free-form text area, TherapyNotes™ offers an easy-to-use form-filled approach, greatly speeding up data entry and note writing. The notes were carefully designed by TherapyNotes™ cofounder and psychologist Debra Pliner, with feedback from other psychologists, psychiatrists, and significant research to maximize compliance with insurance, HIPAA, and industry standards.
