  • Design, plan, and implement customized cloud solutions tailored to client needs, ensuring alignment with business, technical, and security requirements
  • Ensure cloud infrastructure is responsive to user demands and scale services efficiently to accommodate growing business needs
  • Monitor cloud network performance and application usage, ensuring optimal resource allocation and performance
  • Develop and implement robust security strategies to safeguard cloud networks and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
  • Provide guidance and technical expertise to project managers, coordinating the efforts of stakeholders and IT teams to address issues and develop corrective action plans as needed
  • Capture and translate stakeholder requirements into actionable cloud solutions, ensuring the system is built according to specifications and meets functional and non-functional performance criteria
  • Maintain systems in compliance with required configuration profiles, including patch management, evolving production environments, and timely software updates
  • Recommend and implement system modifications to enhance efficiency, reliability, and performance, ensuring continuous improvement of cloud solutions
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive training materials and documentation to support ongoing operations and facilitate issue resolution by support teams

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master of Science in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent technical degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • 2+ years of experience as a Cloud Software Engineer or related position 
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services, code-defined Infrastructure, configuration management tools, and CI/CD 
  • Experience using coding languages
  • Experience architecting and building scalable, automated infrastructure
  • Experience in large-scale enterprise IT environments
  • Understanding of load balancing, geo-redundancy, CDN, and VPN technologies
  • Knowledge of Cloud Architecture patterns and strategies (including IaaS, PaaS, Security, Compute, Storage, and networking)
  • Functional knowledge of Infrastructure as Code
  • Excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications
Must Have

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, PHP, Go, Ruby, JavaScript, Node.js, ASP.NET C++ C# 
  • Experience with “Serverless” systems
  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence 
  • Experience with AWS Lambda and "Serverless" systems 
  • Strong knowledge of coding techniques and tools, with a focus on test automation 
  • Extensive experience in using related software and operating systems 
  • Experience with infrastructure as a service tools such as AWS EC2 

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of Cloud development patterns and strategies (including IaaS, PaaS, Security, Compute, Storage, and networking) 
  • Functional knowledge of infrastructure such as code–automatic using Ansible, Chef, Puppet, PowerShell, Terraform, etc.

Physical Demands

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Frequent use of a keyboard, laptop and mouse
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with customers, collaborating with team members

Work Environment

  • Work is normally performed in a remote environment


Proficiency Requirement: The candidate is expected to demonstrate proficiency in all essential job functions, tools, and processes related to this position within the first 90 days of employment. This includes acquiring a thorough understanding of job-specific responsibilities, systems, and workflows as outlined during onboarding and training. Failure to meet this requirement may result in additional training, reassessment, or other actions as deemed necessary by management.
The base salary range for this position is: $79,538 - $112,121
This base salary range represents a general guideline. An individual’s base salary within that range is determined based on a variety of factors, including (without limitation) the scope, complexities, and responsibilities of the position, the government contract to which the position is assigned, geographic location, market conditions, and the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and skills.
