Your Role 

• With good understanding of design patterns, a strong Java developer who can architect, design, develop, modify and unit test software applications as part of agile scrum team.
• To follow disciplined software development practices.
• Prepare the approach and design documents for the requirement.
• Participates in maintenance and troubleshooting activities, testing process and test reviews.
• Has a good working knowledge of a variety of technical concepts, practice, and procedures.
• Relies on previous experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goal.
• Up to date on current and best practices related to software development.
• Demonstration of problem-solving ability and innovation
• Develop and write well-documented code with test automation that meets the agreed design and code quality criteria
• Deliver high-performant and scalable code
• Identify the performance/scalability hotspots and resolve
• Perform peer code reviews as and when needed
• Guide other team members
• Design software modules

Windchill Pune team need a Principal Software Developer at mid experience level who will work on developing and maintaining Windchill Requirements Validation and Source application and at the same time solve complex customer problems efficiently. The work also involves working on creation of world class enterprise solution for PLM

The candidate will be a part of a highly dynamic and technically competent team whose mission is to deliver a robust and yet easy to use requirements management, software engineering and test management solution. Windchill product ensures digital product traceability throughout the product lifecycle. The team adopts a customer centric approach backed by strong agile practices

Your Day-to-Day

• Prepare design approaches, architectural design
• Review design and architecture. Prepare design note(s) per group standards based on an approved set of requirements.
• Prepare work estimates for assigned tasks
• Develop iterative prototypes when appropriate
• Implement the design to update the existing features in a release.
• Implement or introduce new features either by using new technologies or existing technologies
• Schedule, conduct and participate in design reviews
• Technical lead on small projects
• Completes all work according to schedule requirements.
• Provide ongoing feedback on deliverables
• Resolve assigned customer SPRs per organization guidelines
• Helps colleagues decompose complex problems into a set of simpler ones and help evaluate design alternatives
• Technically guides colleagues on design and implementation techniques
