About the Role
In this Role you will be collaborating with other professionals to determine functional and non-functional requirements for so called Telematics Core Assets (Reusable SW Components for Telematics). Using tools and methodologies to create representations for functions and user interface of desired product, developing high-level product/project specifications.
Your Team
The SW Architect will report to the System Engineering Manager/Director and will typically be assigned to multiple Telematics Core Assets. This position does not have any direct reports.
What You Will Do

Develop and contribute in defining software design strategy for Telematics Core Assets (e.g. Project, Domain, BU ENG, Application)

Identify architectural constraints for the architectural level (project, domain, application) based on technical and organizational requirements and decompose them to architectural levels below.

Develop software architecture for the assigned architectural level fulfilling the architectural requirements

Define, develop and verify all interfaces to related SW architectural elements are complete

Describe, evaluate and verify dynamic behavior and interaction between the related SW architectural elements

Analyze customer requirement and map them to existing architecture or extend the architecture starting from RFQ/RFI phase.

Analyze and address architectural relevant nonfunctional requirements

Ensure traceability and consistency to system architecture and to software requirements
What You Need
-
Master’s or bachelor’s degree in electrical, computer engineering or similar discipline
-
Knowledge of process models (e.g. Automotive SPICE® especially SWE.2)

Experience in (embedded) Linux /Automotive
-
Proven technical leadership and ability to clearly communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
-
Good knowledge and experience of Software Architecture
-
Experience with design methods (e.g. UML or SysML) and modelling tools and languages
-
Ability to document comprehensively and concisely, decision making and problem-solving ability
-
The high-level grasp of the technology and ability to understand customer wishes and -make decisions, -communicate these decisions, and -control the technical direction of the project
What is Nice to Have
-
Experience in AUTOSAR especially with AP is plus
-
Knowledge of embedded software, system and understanding of Linux OS kernel and user space
-
Knowledge of Automotive Functional Safety (ISO 26262) and Automotive Cyber-security (ISO 21434)

Experience with Qualcomm TelAF (Telematics Application Framework)
