The Role

We’re looking for a Social Media Manager to lead GoGuardian’s social presence and drive audience growth across key platforms, including TikTok, LinkedIn, and Reddit. In this role, you’ll develop platform-specific strategies, create engaging content, collaborate with influencers and internal teams, and use performance insights to grow and engage our digital community — all while bringing our brand to life online and shaping the conversation in education. This position sits on the Marketing team, a team that drives brand awareness, engagement, and demand through creative storytelling and data-driven campaigns. The ideal candidate is creative, analytical, deeply in tune with social trends, and passionate about building community through compelling content.

What You'll Do

  • Lead content strategy across all GoGuardian and Pear Deck Learning social channels, including Reddit, TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, influencer and more.
  • Deliver creative trend-savvy content for TikTok, using platform best practices, trending sounds, and original concepts to boost visibility and engagement.
  • Manage day-to-day social media operations, including content publishing, scheduling, and community management.
  • Build and execute a thought leadership strategy for LinkedIn, including company updates, industry insights, and executive content.
  • Identify and collaborate with creators and influencers to grow brand awareness and reach new audiences.
  • Highlight customer success stories through compelling social content, case studies, and social proof campaigns.
  • Monitor social performance and audience data to optimize content and campaign strategy.
  • Report on success, owning metrics such as: 
    • Social-Attributed Website Traffic (via UTM tracking)
    • Lead Conversion from Social Campaigns (gated content, events, etc.)
    • Influencer/UGC ROI (traffic, reach, or leads driven via influencer or creator partnerships)
  • Stay ahead of platform trends, new features, and algorithm updates to keep our strategy fresh and effective.
  • Use social media tools and analytics platforms to track impact, drive web traffic, and generate leads.
  • Help drive deep engagement with our teacher advocacy and ambassador program
  • Help connect leads to the sales team and support questions to our support team

Who You Are

  • 5–7 years of experience in social media management, content strategy, or digital marketing.
  • Experienced in regular performance reporting and using data to drive decisions. 
  • Proven success creating engaging TikTok content (bonus points for having grown an account from scratch).
  • Experience with LinkedIn marketing, especially in B2B or thought leadership contexts.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills, with the ability to translate creative ideas into content that aligns with brand goals and drives engagement.
  • Familiarity with influencer partnerships and UGC collaboration.
  • A strategic thinker who’s also hands-on with tools like Sprout Social, or similar.
  • Strong familiarity and comfort with Reddit, understands the platform’s culture, tone, and norms.
  • Comfort working remotely and collaborating cross-functionally with design, marketing, and product teams.
  • A love for testing, learning, and adapting based on what the data says.

The typical base salary range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire base pay for this position and your pay will be determined by a variety of factors, including your primary work location, skills, qualifications and experience.
