Job Description

What will the role involve?

Join our team as an energetic and imaginative Social Media Manager, where you'll spearhead our continuous digital presence and expand our audience across various platforms. You will celebrate remarkable individuals and animal champions through outstanding national events and online awards. 

As our Social Media Manager, your role will be to maintain engaging conversations with our audience throughout the year, not just during these events. We are looking for a candidate who is full of ideas and excited to innovate and transform our social media channels. You will take charge of all of our social media content and be responsible for strategy, planning, idea generation, editing and posting across platforms.

You will produce and manage engaging content for platforms like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, and YouTube, and collaborate with designers and photographers, write compelling copy, manage content approvals, and utilise AI tools for efficiency. You can expect to work with marketing, PR, and event teams to integrate social media into campaigns, taking a lead role in digital strategy in event planning meetings.

Community engagement is also an important part of this role, you will respond to audience interactions professionally and build a vibrant online community. 

Qualifications

What you’ll need to succeed:

It is essential that you possess a strong familiarity with Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, with demonstrable experience managing social media accounts. Experience with paid social campaigns is advantageous, but not essential.

We are seeking individuals with excellent creative vision, with demonstrated ability to design innovative campaigns that boost engagement and align with brand objectives. It is important that you are skilled in video editing and familiar with tools like Canva, CapCut, and scheduling platforms. Knowledge of Adobe is preferred, but not required.

The successful candidate will possess an analytical mindset, the ability to analyse data effectively and transform it into actionable insights is key in this position. In addition, exceptional verbal communication skills are essential, you will need to be capable of independently publishing precise written and video content with meticulous attention to detail.

Due to the nature of this role, flexibility to work events and weekends leading up to and during events for comprehensive coverage is required, and willingness to travel occasionally for marketing activations, ensuring robust brand representation.

We are offering up to £30,000 + 20% quarterly bonus, and excellent company benefits including:
