Member of our local Programming team, the Social Media Manager is responsible for developing and implementing the right social media strategy to reach and engage with a targeted audience ultimately creating brand awareness and brand love. The social media manager manages the daily social content creation, community management, and publishing of our market’s social media accounts. This includes overseeing accounts across relevant social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, X, and YouTube. She/he creates unique, ownable, and engaging social media strategies for our managed channels (ie. Red Bull platforms) and tactically for Earned channels (ie. Athletes, dancers, artists, media). This will involve working closely with the wider marketing and communications French team to represent the full marketing mix to drive key brand metrics and grow engaged and loyal digital audiences.

Job Description

CHANNELS MANAGEMENT

Build organic editorial strategies to engage with as large an audience as possible across metrics such as reach, engagements, frequency, and interaction length.

Collaborate with other departments, such as sport marketing, culture marketing, brand and field marketing, to ensure a cohesive brand message and leverage cross-departmental synergies.

Engage with the audience by responding to comments, messages, and reviews, so we build and nurture online communities around the brand.

Use the right mix of local and global content to ensure year-long audience engagement – from standalone content to flankers that are created with Red Bull events, projects and other properties in mind.

Analyze performance and translate data into actionable insights for content or channel strategy to drive smooth consumer journeys across platforms and increase reach.

Get ahead of trends and explore new publishing tactics/platforms to position Red Bull as an innovative and pioneer brand.

Manage content creation and production on TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, and Twitch, working closely with stakeholders.

Amplify projects across owned platforms.

Recruit, brief, and supervise agencies and resources for various missions.

Monitor best practices in social media, within and outside the Red Bull ecosystem.

Build and maintain relationships with Red Bull athletes and Opinion Leaders on social media.

Contribute to the development of the influencer program.

Supervise daily management of Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts for RedBull.com, covering both editorial and community management.

Maintain a global content calendar for Red Bull and Media House initiatives.

Work closely with the Digital Content Specialist to refine and execute the social media strategy for RedBull.com, aiming to establish it as a primary destination for repeat audiences.

Oversee and manage the paid social media budget for France, either directly or with dedicated media agencies.


CONTENT CREATION AND COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT

Develop and produce social-first content concepts around our marketing mix with a hyper-focus on local relevancy.

Work closely with internal and external content producers and editors to ensure content is made for the platform to maximize performance.

Create content via mobile phone and make simple edits that fit with platforms trends to bring Red Bull into social conversations.

Foster a sense of community through social media community management and community focused initiatives. This includes Red Bull athletes/dancers and Opinion Leaders in social.

Qualifications

University degree in Marketing, Communications, and/or a related discipline.

+7 years of experience in digital strategy, content creation, and social media.

Superior project management skills, strong understanding of content performance and able to translate data into practical recommendations.

Proven ability to increase key media metrics (views, engagement etc.)

You have a serious brand fit with Red Bull.

Enthusiastic, curious, serious, creative, & solution oriented.

Excellent knowledge of digital media environment, trends and technologies.

Well organized team player with the ability to work under pressure, excellent communication and effective interpersonal skills.

Skilled in copywriting and content creation, both as a project manager and as a producer. 

Ability to think, plan and execute resourcefully, with minimal supervision.

Fluent in French & English.
