The Associate Manager, Social Media for Vogue India is responsible for the social strategy and social posting of Vogue India’s social channels.
This person will be embedded with the Vogue India content team and partner seamlessly with editors and writers. They will sit alongside editors and be pivotal to enabling the success of the newly-evolved teams.
Reporting to the Aud Dev Lead for Vogue India.

The Associate manager, Social Media is part of a community of global Vogue Social Managers (an Aud Dev Lead and Social Manager is embedded in each Vogue editorial team).

They will work closely with the community and the global social storytelling team.
This role is big picture – overseeing social storytelling and content distribution – and is hands-on – with daily posting and scheduling on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and other platforms (depending on local platforms).
This person has an eye for powerful visuals, strong writing skills, social storytelling skills and understands the Vogue voice.
The Associate Manager, Social Media for Vogue India will have a proven history of growing social audiences and knowledge of analytical tools.

This person understands how data can inform a smart editorial and social strategy, and is an expert at juggling multiple projects, managing deadlines, distilling social numbers into actionable insights, and advocating for strong social content across the organisation.
The ideal candidate has experience partnering with Edit, Creative and Commercial.

They will be a clear communicator and show sound judgement. This person will display all the behaviours outlined in the Audience Development Competency Model.
Goals and structure:
The Global Vogue Audience Development, Social & Analytics team’s role is to bring the right audiences to Vogue, and ensure engagement and return visits.

This provides ‘top-of-the-funnel’ for the Global Marketing and Consumer Revenue team. A goal is to increase reader revenue through subscriptions, events, commerce and other activities. The Associate Manager, Social Media for Vogue India is a key role in the process of building and engaging audiences.


Primary Responsibilities:
● Guided by the Global Vogue social strategy, this person will adapt and realise that locally,
based on local market conditions and culture
● Manage day-to-day posting, editing and optimization of content on multiple social media
platforms including Instagram, Facebook and Twitter
● Master Vogue’s editorial voice and tone which may be different between platforms
● Select imagery, video and visual content that engages audiences
● Execute on best-in-class social storytelling, gathering assets from different teams
● Work with the global social storytelling team to ensure the best storytelling for the Vogue
India accounts
● Work with video teams on social storytelling packages

● Seamlessly integrate with Content/Edit and guide teams daily on story positioning (for
Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, for example)
● Create and foster communities on social platforms
● Plan, design and implement successful social strategies on cover reveals, tentpoles
(such as Oscars, Met Gala) and global and local stories.
● Manage social swaps with internal Conde Nast brands, other Vogue teams, as well as
external partners
● Report on content performance and present social insights and best practices to various
stakeholders
● Work with the commerce team to strategize ways to increase traffic (and therefore
revenue) to commerce content
● Adjust social strategy according to KPI pacing and report on any wins and losses
● Brainstorm new ideas and plan rollout strategies for testing with the audience
development team


Requirements:
● 3+ years of social media experience, preferably with experience working for a digital
publisher
● Strong writing skills for captions, headlines and visual storytelling
● Proven ability in visual storytelling that drives engagement
● Strong editorial judgement
● Community management experience
● Excellent organisational skills, focus, and attention to detail
● An established ability to synthesise and communicate information quickly
● Must complete an edit test (writing samples are a plus!)
● Experience with video editing and asset creation
● Able to work outside standard working hours (occasional evenings and weekends)
● Experience in working on audience development strategies for video and audio
● Ability to clearly articulate and present to editorial colleagues and all levels of
management
● Ability to navigate a complex and matrixed business
● Entrepreneurial, digitally savvy, with exceptional analytical, quantitative, problem-solving,
and critical thinking skills
● Desired: Experience of working cross-culturally. A second language is a plus.
