Overview:The Systems Management SME has responsibility for managing the relationship with the Infrastructure hosting partner. The Systems Management SME will review, approve and manage the changes in the Windows, storage and virtual environments with the hosting provider. This position will ensure that the provider is maintaining the Boar’s Head systems within the policies, standards and SLAs agreed upon with the provider. The Systems Management SME will gather requirements from the PMs and RMs for projects that have infrastructure requirements and provide the costs, timelines and projections. This position will also manage and maintain the SCCM environment for workstation/laptop endpoint deployment and software management.
Job Description:
Primary and Essential Functions of this position
- Review Windows based OS performance SLAs(CPU Ready, CPU Time, Storage, Memory)
- Review and Approve Windows based OS level changes
- Create and manage Windows based OS requirements
- Review Projects and Tacticals Windows based OS requirements
- Review and maintain Windows based OS policies and standards
- Provide Windows based OS support oversight
- Provide support for Windows based OS hardening policies
- Provide support and review for workstation OS level policy changes (i.e. AD Group Policy)
- Manage Microsoft patching with MSP
- Coordinate with internal BH Teams for Requirements
- Review vendor storage support and performance
- Review vendor virtualization support and performance (i.e. anti-affinity rules, DRS config, etc.)
- License compliance
- Purchase and install hardware for Edge Computing
- Support and assist with Edge Computing design and architecture
- Support and manage workstation SCCM environment (i.e. workstation imaging, application deployment)
Educational and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science preferred, or equivalent related experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in IT application security administration.
- Proven experience administering security for large-scale business applications in a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated experience with the development and application of IT security policies and procedures.
- Deep knowledge of Windows operating systems, Active Directory and Group Policy.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft SCCM
- Working knowledge of virtualization technologies (i.e. VMWare, OVM, etc.)
- Working knowledge of storage systems (i.e. SANs, NAS, fiber channel, FCoE, iSCSI, etc.)
- Experience working with Microsoft Office products especially Outlook, Word, and Excel.

- Outstanding communication skills - oral, written, listening. Comfortable communicating with all levels of employees and management.
- Must have exceptional organization skills and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to fully document security configurations and procedures.
- Ability to multi task, prioritize work loads and complete required tasks in a timely fashion to meet required implementations.
