As a Site Supervisor for a six-month bridge project, you will oversee and coordinate the daily activities of our project/site team. Your leadership will be essential in ensuring that work is executed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with quality standards. In this position, you will manage documentation, reporting, and tracking of project progress on-site.
You will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate reporting of the project’s activities, maintaining comprehensive records, and liaising with various stakeholders to keep them informed about project milestones. Your expertise will help facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members, subcontractors, and project management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the installation of essential components such as pumps, piping, hydrants, and activation systems for the firefighting system.
- Ensure all site activities align with project plans and timelines while monitoring material usage and coordinating deliveries to maintain workflow.
- Enforce health and safety regulations, particularly in the challenging marine environment, through regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Coordinate closely with construction workers, subcontractors, and engineers to ensure clear communication and collaboration.
- Provide regular progress updates to the Construction Manager, keeping them informed of any developments or challenges.
- Ensure quality control by verifying that all work adheres to technical specifications and design drawings, addressing any defects or deviations promptly.
- Maintain daily logs of site activities, manpower, and equipment, reporting any issues or delays to the Construction Manager, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the project.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in site supervision, preferably within the firefighting systems sector.
- Strong understanding of technical drawings and installation processes.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- A proactive approach with a commitment to safety and quality.
