The Site Engineering Manager is a key member of the Care Solutions business segment, overseeing the Engineering team at the Mapleton site. This role involves leading the site’s engineering and capital projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and managing compliance with safety and operational standards. The manager will mentor and develop the engineering team, prioritize projects, and ensure efficient resource allocation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead and develop the engineering team while actively participating in the site leadership team.
- Oversee project prioritization, departmental budgets, and compliance with corporate standards.
- Project Management:
- Manage projects from conceptual design to construction, including budgeting, schedules, and communication with stakeholders.
- Ensure safety, compliance, and quality during project execution, commissioning, and startup.
- Technical Support:
- Provide technical expertise in equipment design, P&IDs, and control systems.
- Support process safety (MOC, PHA, PSSR) and maintain accurate site documentation (PSI).
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues and support production changes.
- Compliance and Improvement:
- Ensure adherence to OSHA PSM, EPA RMP, and ESHQ standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and participate in audits and incident investigations.
- Maintain compliance documentation and contribute to the site’s MI program.
REQUIREMENTS
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering with 10+ years in project or plant engineering in a chemical manufacturing facility.
- Strong project management skills, including cost estimating and implementation.
- Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of OSHA PSM regulations, equipment design, and DCS control systems.
- Proficiency in SAP, EPIC, and Microsoft Office 365.
- Additional Skills:
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication abilities.
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement initiatives is a plus.
- Ability to work in a plant environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Summary Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. (Specific rate to be determined, but not limited to, geographic location, education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data).
Pay Range: $119,900 - $199,800
