Join NVIDIA, a trailblazer at the forefront of graphics and artificial intelligence performance, efficiency, and innovation. From our roots as a groundbreaking graphics company, we have evolved into a global leader in artificial intelligence, continuously pushing the boundaries to address sophisticated challenges across diverse industries.

NVIDIA's Silicon Solutions Group (SSG) seeks a Test Development Engineer to join our Hardware Architecture Development (HW ArchDev) team. Joining the SSG team presents an outstanding chance to effectively engage in the entire product development cycle—from early architecture definition through bring-up to product release. The HW ArchDev team is central to all silicon and system-level feature development, tradeoff analysis, system integration solutions, and system Product of Record (POR) alignment. As a Test Prototyping Engineer, you will create new tests to validate electrical, power, and thermal features on the GPU.

What you will be doing:

  • Based on understanding a product feature, determine the best manufacturing stage for testing GPU/CPU hardware features. This could be ATE, socketed or board-level system test, rack-level test, or pod/cluster-level test, as needed.

  • Create new tests or test conditions based on an understanding of hardware features or learnings from customer returns or gaps in internal manufacturing stages.

  • Perform or automate test runs, analyze and visualize data to ensure a high-quality test, and guide debug for yield or escape issues.

What we need to see:

  • Master’s degree (MS) or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering (EE), Computer Engineering (CE), Computer Science (CS), Systems Engineering, or a related field

  • 3+ years of experience.

  • Background in creating new system tests or test conditions and good skills in Linux, Python, and Perl.

  • Experience working with GPU/CPU system features and crafting test strategies.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Experience in rack-level test development

What We Do

NVIDIA’s invention of the GPU in 1999 sparked the growth of the PC gaming market, redefined modern computer graphics, and revolutionized parallel computing. More recently, GPU deep learning ignited modern AI — the next era of computing — with the GPU acting as the brain of computers, robots, and self-driving cars that can perceive and understand the world. Today, NVIDIA is increasingly known as “the AI computing company.”
