Sibelius Software Developer based in Montréal, Canada – Hybrid
The Sibelius engineering team is looking for a talented junior software developer to join our Audio development team based in Montréal. You will be part of a team of passionate musicians and engineers building and improving upon the years of dedication and skill found in the Sibelius code base.
In this role, you will be responsible for creating, debugging, and maintaining the C++ applications running on Mac, Windows, Android and iOS. While your exact tasks will vary according to project requirements, typical tasks include developing new features, writing UI code using our application framework and contributing to the overall quality of our products.
To join our team, you must have a solid understanding of software engineering and object-oriented design techniques, a unique ability to create, debug, and maintain bulletproof C++ code, an eye for detail, and extremely high standards with respect to software quality and reliability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Design, build, and maintain efficient and reliable C++ code

Work closely with other engineers, designers and testers to develop new features and products.

Work on extensions of existing Audio products running on Mac, Windows, iOS and Android.

Work effectively in a multi-tasking and highly dynamic environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
-
BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent degree or working experience.

Experience with a High level of C++ object-oriented programming
-
Experience working with a cross-platform UI layer such as Qt and/or working directly with Cocoa and Windows API’s a plus

Professional or academic experience working on Mobile applications

Knowledge and familiarity with music notation

Strong initiative, ownership, and teamwork skills.

Excellent communication and writing skills.
