SHE Assurance Advisor

Salary: to £40k plus car allowance depending on experience + performance related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances, and wellbeing.

Role Overview:
The Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) Assurance Advisor at Neos Networks will report to the Head of Business Assurance. This role involves overseeing and maintaining the SHE Integrated Management System in compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 45003 standards and their deliverables. The successful candidate will also require a detailed knowledge and understanding of Network Rail Standards the following standards are not an exhaustive list but the candidate must be conversant with these. ENV/015,115,120,121,122,124,055,305. Occupational Health and Safety-OHS/102,122,051. Safety and Compliance OHS/019,157,501You will also support SHE Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting, develop SHE plans, enforce policies, and ensure that practices and facilities adhere to legal guidelines. This position requires providing SHE advice across all levels of the company and is a combination of corporate and site safety activities.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver training sessions to promote compliance and safety awareness.

Monitor compliance, investigate incidents, and recommend improvements to enhance safety.

Manage SHE communications and report on health and safety issues.

Develop policies focused on occupational and psychological health and safety to minimise risks for employees.

Support Environmental and Sustainability reporting.

Operationally support Project Teams, ensuring compliance with CDM regulations and safety in activities such as working at height, excavation, confined spaces, working in HV zones, and laser safety.

Perform and facilitate internal and external audits.
Candidate Requirements:

Working towards NEBOSH Construction/General Certificate, or equivalent. NEOS will support this qualification

Auditor qualification is advantageous.

Environmental & Sustainability experience
-
Extensive experience in SHE Management and CDM on large construction projects.

Previous experience in Telecoms, working at height, and construction/utility sectors is highly desirable.

Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Proficient in managing and maintaining an SHE Integrated Management System.

Skilled in influencing and motivating CDM Project Teams.

Capable of providing effective coaching and mentoring.

Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.

Ability to work independently.

Strong communication skills, both written and oral.

Proficiency in IT skills, including Microsoft Office and register management.

Be flexible for regular UK wide travel to sites, offices, and other visits required by the business.

Supportive and adaptable team member of the wider Business Assurance team.

Previous experience in Network Rail Projects
This role is crucial for maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring that Neos Networks continues to meet and exceed industry standards in safety, health, and environmental management.
It is an essential requirement for this role that you have a full, current driving licence.
