Estimated annual base pay:

  • Estimated annual base pay:  $15.83(minimum) - $20.24(midpoint) - $24.65(maximum)

Are you ready to make your mark?  If you’re a Coil Winder, we have an exciting opportunity for you. The  Coil Winder reports to the manufacturing supervisor and is responsible for operating basic machines and deburring, or light assembly, in an industrial setting. The position works under close supervision, limited decision-making and limited contact with external suppliers or customers.

What You Will Be Doing 

  • Communicates information to others about project status, updates, specific instructions, etc. and reviews item status in MRP and ensures item is logged/closed out based on its current status.

  • Documents non-conformance and dispositions using non-conformance forms.

  • Cleans and maintains measuring instruments and test equipment; treats and inspects/tests parts (e.g., routed and deburring operations) per applicable work instructions.

  • Follows all departmental safety rules and regulations and puts on all appropriate safety gear, and clothing/protection required by work activities.

  • Completes and reviews product paperwork, verifying all paperwork is present and filled out appropriately and complete computer entries accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Verify the calibration of equipment and expiration dates.

  • Measure specific dimensions according to the work instruction. Record applicable data as required.

  • Perform curing process of parts and inspect according to visual requirements.

  • May require applying hot dip method or touch up method of stacks and return paths.

What We Are Looking For 

  • Level I:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Experience winding wires, preparing cables for soldering, and basic finishing tasks.

  • The ability to see details (e.g., letters, numbers, codes, color, symbols, marks, labels, signs) clearly to accomplish work tasks in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Moderate physical activity requiring agility and dexterity, including walking, standing, or bending; and lifting or moving objects. Work is performed in area with moderate risk or discomfort that may require special safety precautions, such as wearing protective clothing or gear.

  • Level II:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • 1-2 years of related experience

  • Proficiently to perform 3 of the following tasks: winding and ball fusing; prepare wires and cables for solder and encapsulation; perform post encapsulation processes, which includes finishing, epoxy sealing and potting, identifying; electrical testing, which includes hi-potential, resistance measurement; and polarity testing; and setup and operate transfer molding presses for coil and cable molding.
