Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Test Development Engineer to join our team. This role will focus on designing and developing test plans, test cases, and test environments for our products. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software testing principles, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze product requirements, design specifications, and user stories to develop comprehensive test plans and test cases.

• Design and set up test environments, including hardware, software, and network configurations.

• Execute manual tests, document test results, and report defects with detailed information.

• Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to understand product functionality and identify testable areas.

• Develop and maintain test data and test documentation.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.

• Work closely with the automation engineer to identify test cases suitable for automation.

• Perform exploratory testing to uncover hidden defects and usability issues.

• Participate in requirements reviews and provide feedback on testability.

• Support the automation team by providing clear and concise test cases.

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• 2+ years of experience in software testing.  

• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and principles (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).

• Experience in creating test plans, test cases, and test reports.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong attention to detail and a passion for quality.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira).

Bonus Qualifications:

• Experience testing embedded systems or hardware products.

• ISTQB certification.

• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
