The Sr Systems Administrator of Cloud and Windows Compute Services will be responsible to design, implement, and maintain the organization's Cloud and Windows Compute technologies and solutions for Cox Enterprises. The ideal candidate will have a strong administrative background in supporting baremetal and virtual Windows Server instances residing on-premises and in hybrid cloud environments. You'll have the opportunity to drive transformation initiatives that directly enhance user experience while contributing to the strategic direction and operational excellence of our infrastructure. This role also provides knowledge, experience, and expertise support to internal team members.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Support & Collaboration : Assist in the execution of Cloud and Windows Compute deliverables, collaborating with team members and colleagues.
  • System Management : Install, configure, and maintain critical 24/7 Cloud and Windows systems. Responsibilities include OS and hardware installation, monitoring, patching, backups, and overall system health.
  • Planning & Design : Plan and design for future system improvements and upgrades.
  • Impact Analysis : Evaluate Cloud and Windows updates to assess potential impacts on business services.
  • Advanced Windows Expertise : Deep knowledge of Windows systems, troubleshooting, server operations, and best practices.
  • Enterprise Systems Management : Maintain operations of Baremetal Servers, VMWare, NSX, and Nutanix solutions.
  • Cloud Operations : Administer public cloud workloads in AWS, Azure, and OCI, adhering to corporate standards.
  • Application Support : Provide management and support for operational tools like SCCM/MECM, VMware Operations Manager, and SafeSend.
  • Process & Standards Development : Contribute to the creation of processes and standards to ensure user-friendly, high-performing, and modern solutions.
  • Vendor Collaboration : Work with technology vendors to ensure effective communication, product updates, and enhancements.
  • Request Fulfillment : Review and address requests from business partners to meet or exceed requirements.
  • Relationship Building : Foster strong relationships with peers and colleagues.
  • On-Call Support : Participate in on-call rotation to respond to critical incidents and service outages. Assist with post-incident reports.

  • Reporting : Provide accurate, timely reporting of system performance, including metrics, timesheets, and project updates.

Min Qualification :

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 4 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 2 years' experience; a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience; or 8 years' experience in a related field
  • Requires strong knowledge of server infrastructure support, Windows Server operating systems support, vulnerability management, and cloud platform support (Public and Private)
  • Demonstrated expertise of server infrastructure support, Windows Server operating systems support, vulnerability management, and cloud platform support (Public and Private)
  • Technical expertise of IT systems: Baremetal servers, Storage, virtualization platforms, application management, networking, Active Directory/LDAP/DNS, information security and authentication, and backup/recovery technologies.
  • Versed in cloud native technologies running in private cloud solutions, Azure, AWS, or OCI, and SaaS services.
  • Experience with scripting and automation including Infrastructure as Code and enabling technologies such as PowerShell, Terraform, and Ansible.

USD 88,300.00 - 147,100.00 per year
Compensation:
Compensation includes a base salary of $88,300.00 - $147,100.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members.
