About the Role:

As Evo’s Senior Video Content Manager, you will produce and oversee the creation of multiple forms of video content that enhances Evo’s reach, engagement, and community connectivity. This role requires an experienced thinker who can not only manage day-to-day operations for content team members and contractors, but can also be hands on in developing and maintaining the content strategies executed across Evo’s media channels and live events. This role will also play a pivotal role in realizing successful promotional campaigns and partnerships that excite, educate, and entertain Evo’s fanbase. In this role you will ensure that Evo’s brand remains dynamic, engaging, and aligned with our mission to celebrate and expand the fighting game community in all video content it appears in.


Key Responsibilities:

Content Strategy & Management

  • Develop and execute comprehensive content strategy across all video platforms
  • Define and manage content calendar that drives channel growth and engagement
  • Collaborate with Programming Director and Leadership on content initiatives
  • Track and analyze performance metrics to optimize content strategy
  • Stay current with industry trends and community sentiment

Video Production & Direction

  • Ideate, produce, film, and edit various content formats including:
    • Recurring Evo shows and documentary series
    • Cultural vignettes and special features
    • Event coverage and highlight reels
    • Commercial and partnership content
  • Manage production timeline and resource allocation
  • Select and oversee contractors and vendors for content production
  • Ensure consistent brand voice and quality across all video content

YouTube Channel Management

  • Drive channel growth through strategic content planning
  • Conduct A/B testing to optimize video performance
  • Manage content publishing schedule and programming
  • Maintain channel organization and optimization
  • Monitor and analyze channel metrics

Special Projects Management

  • Oversee production of custom game intros for live events
  • Direct documentary content featuring players, events, and partners
  • Manage third-party commercial content production
  • Maintain comprehensive content archive and asset library

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Creative Director on brand consistency
  • Work with Partnerships team on commercial content
  • Coordinate with Social Media team on content distribution
  • Support sales initiatives through video content creation

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in video production and content management, preferably within the esports, gaming, or entertainment industry
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful video content
  • Experience managing video editors and creatives
  • Excellent communication and content creation skills, with the ability to adapt to different platforms, audiences, and production environments
  • Capacity to experiment with emerging technologies, platforms, and tools
  • Familiarity with the fighting game community and passion for gaming is a plus
  • Proficiency in video production tools and project management software (e.g., Premier, Final Cut, Resolve, PowerDirector, After Effects, Clickup, etc)
