About the Position: An ideal candidate for the SVP position will have a strong understanding of ancillary products, services, marketplace, and broker/carrier operations as well as a proven track record of building a client services organization for scale. Working in tandem with Marketing and Account Management, this individual will be quarterbacking large case RFP activities. In addition, this role is responsible for leading all ongoing account management, renewal support, and sold case implementation services with SPG Ancillary matrix partners. Effective communication, collaboration, and organization are critical for success in this role.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Engage with prospective clients to evaluate needs and develop/deploy strategy to set up benefits plans under quick turnaround requirements.
- Lead quoting and benefits strategy discussions of client benefits packages.
- Work with internal teams to understand available resources and optimization opportunities.
- Acquires understanding of clients’ insurance objectives and critically analyzes and compares insurance plans to determine suitability and may negotiate with Underwriters and carriers.
- Provides professional and courteous service to clients, carrier representatives, business partners, and SPG colleagues.
- Manages, organizes, and conducts client meetings when necessary and appropriately documents conversations with clients and carrier representative.
- Work with SPG leadership and operations teams to develop and streamline overall strategy delivered to prospects.
- Ensures the quality and accuracy of data in pipeline management systems and prepares reports for Management as required.
- Stays abreast of changes in the insurance industry and other external conditions that may impact their clients by attending industry-related continuing education training and courses.
- Acts as a consultant and makes appropriate recommendations to clients in response to industry shifts and changes independent of Manager approval.
- Travels on company business as required.
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- 2+ years’ experience leading a service organization with a demonstrated ability to lead a team with integrity, authenticity, and empathy
- 5+ years’ experience in account management or service role within a carrier or brokerage organization
- Holds active life, accident, and health license
- Proven track record with scaling a service operation to enable P&L growth
- Deep understanding of ancillary products, services, marketplace, and broker/carrier operations
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and comfortable with organizational change and balancing competing priorities
- Resilient and adaptable, maintaining a positive attitude and serving as a trusted mentor for team
- Decisive and comfortable with autonomy

Work Location: This is a 100% remote position working in your local time zone. Access to a local office may be available upon request.
Disclosure required under applicable state or municipality regulations: The expected salary range for this position is $200,000 and $300,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include health/dental/vision/life/disability insurance, FSA, HSA and 401(k) accounts, paid-time-off benefits, and eligible bonuses, equity and commissions for some positions.
