Senior Vice President, Tax

About the Role

TD SYNNEX is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Vice President of Tax to lead our global tax strategy, compliance, and risk management. This executive role is critical in shaping and executing our tax vision, ensuring compliance with international tax regulations, and optimizing tax positions to support the company’s long-term growth.

What You'll Do

Strategic Tax Leadership

• Develop and implement a comprehensive global tax strategy aligned with TD SYNNEX’s business objectives and expansion plans.
• Provide strategic direction on tax planning initiatives, including M&A, international expansion, and corporate restructuring.
• Optimize the company’s global tax position to enhance efficiency and mitigate tax risks.

Tax Compliance & Reporting

• Oversee the timely and accurate preparation and filing of all local, state, federal, and international tax returns.
• Ensure compliance with ASC 740 and other applicable tax accounting standards.
• Manage tax audits, disputes, and negotiations with government authorities.

Tax Risk Management

• Identify and mitigate tax risks related to business operations, ensuring adherence to evolving tax regulations.
• Implement best practices for tax governance and compliance across all jurisdictions.

Transfer Pricing & International Taxation

• Develop and manage transfer pricing policies, ensuring alignment with OECD guidelines and local regulations.
• Oversee intercompany transactions to maintain compliance and minimize tax exposure.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

• Partner with Finance, Legal, and Business Units to integrate tax considerations into corporate decision-making.
• Work with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies to maintain compliance and optimize tax structures.

Leadership & Team Development

• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing global tax team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
• Promote knowledge-sharing and best practices within the tax function.

Policy Advocacy & Executive Reporting

• Monitor and analyze global tax trends to anticipate changes impacting the company.
• Represent TD SYNNEX in discussions with tax authorities, industry groups, and legislative bodies.
• Provide regular updates to the CFO and Audit Committee on tax risks, opportunities, and strategic initiatives.

What We're Looking For

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s in Taxation or MBA preferred).
• 15+ years of progressive tax experience, including at least 5 years in an executive leadership role within a publicly traded multinational corporation.
• Proven expertise in complex tax structures, M&A tax strategies, and international tax laws.

Technical & Leadership Skills

• In-depth knowledge of domestic and international tax regulations, including corporate tax, VAT/GST, and transfer pricing.
• Familiarity with taxation in the technology sector, including R&D tax credits and digital taxation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset and ability to execute tactical initiatives.
• Exceptional leadership abilities, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence executives and cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in tax software and financial modeling tools.

Certifications

• CPA or equivalent certification is required.
