Job Description

We’re looking for a Senior UX/UI Designer (Contract) to help create seamless, engaging, and visually compelling digital experiences for our eCommerce websites. In this role, you’ll collaborate with Product, Tech, and eCommerce teams to design intuitive user interfaces, refine user journeys, and contribute to a growing design system. What you'll be doing:

Design Production

1. Understands brand, products and users to produce high-quality designs in accordance with brand guidelines 

2. Designs icons and graphic assets for use across our website, collaborating with Creative to ensure consistency across all channels 

3. Provides final UI designs with specifications for developers 

Design Iteration and Collaboration

1. Partners with Product Managers & eCommerce teams to hypothesize, test, and measure the success of the product, leveraging current tools & technologies.

2. Translates hypothesis, based on business results and testing, into concepts and requirements, delivering user flows, customer journeys, wireframes, comps, and prototypes. 

3. Collaborates with UX Researchers to support testing and iterations of design solutions 

4. Collaborates with user experience designers to turn wireframes and concepts into compelling, beautifully crafted experiences 

User-Centered Approach and Consistency

1. Follows and updates our style guides and pattern libraries, and ensures consistent implementation 

2. Understands customer goals, business requirements and technical constraints to work within project parameters 

3. Effectively brainstorms, sketches and mocks up multiple visual ideas to satisfy design requirements 

4. Manages multiple priorities/projects under tight deadlines, working independently and/or with the design team 

5. Be able to articulate design decisions 

Other Duties and Responsibilities

1. Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

What you bring to the table:

• Bachelor’s degree in Web/Graphic Design or have equivalent experience 

• 5 years of relevant experience in user interface, product design, web design, or design-related field 

• An online portfolio (please specify which work was created 100% by you vs. by a team)

• Passion for design (typography, color and grid layouts) 

• Knowledge of mobile design standards and familiarity with responsive design best practices 

• User-centered approach to design 

• Proficient in Figma, Sketch, Photoshop and Illustrator with the ability to produce organized files with sensible layer structures and naming

• Competency with HTML and CSS

• Ability to articulate design decisions and ability to accept creative feedback

Location: The Senior UX/UI Designer (Contract) position is a work-from-home position for Balsam International Unlimited Philippine ROHQ in Manila. Team members in the Philippines are located within Metro Manila, Bataan, Batangas, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Pampanga, Rizal, and Tarlac areas only.

Our must-haves:

• Must have a back-up laptop or desktop for use, if primary laptop encounters issues.
• Must have a fast, reliable DSL, Fiber or Broadband connection (not mobile or broadband stick) as the primary internet connection with a minimum actual speed of 10MBPS.
• Must have a back-up internet connection of the same speed, if primary connection becomes spotty.

Duration: This post will run for three (3) months only.

Status: This is a contractual position with no benefits included.

Hardware Provision: Company-issued Laptop will not be provided.
