The Role

We are seeking a talented Senior UI/UX Designer to join our team. This role involves building user interfaces and user experiences, creating layouts with motion, and designing animated content and graphics for responsive landing pages, websites, and digital publications. The designer will also work on app design and development, as well as other brand projects.

The responsibilities of this role include pushing the brand story through excellent UI/UX design and maintaining a customer-focused approach. The designer will collaborate closely with the Creative team, developers, and engineers to ideate, create, and prototype amazing digital experiences, websites, digital content, apps, and activation campaigns.

Additionally, the designer will be responsible for creating pixel-perfect mocks with detailed interactions and contributing to our design system and component library by providing feedback on the UI and visuals, as well as overseeing regular maintenance and upkeep.

Furthermore, the designer will ensure consistent storytelling across the brand by understanding the context and providing guidance to non-design teams. They will also clearly and effectively articulate design decisions and best practices during design demos and reviews.

Who You Are

​​Required Skills and experience

  • 7+ years of relevant professional design experience
  • Excellent visual and interaction skills and craft
  • Experience designing platforms and systems
  • Experience in UX research, including planning, designing and facilitating user sessions, analyzing findings and articulating results
  • Experience in designing responsive and adaptive webpages and websites, in motion and CSS animations and the technicalities of what it takes to make a lightweight, responsive and scalable website.
  • Information architecture, user and screen flows, conceptual and detailed wireframing and prototyping
  • Expertise in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Figma, CSS, and app design and development.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment. Expertise in design principles, interaction design, motion design, typography, graphics and color systems 
  • Have a growth mindset and willingness to listen, learn and continuously improve.
  • Craft Exceptional User Experiences: Set a high bar for usability, functionality, and visual appeal. Possess meticulous attention to detail and the broader vision and is motivated to push the brand to the next level.

  • Experience with digital experience, digital journey, digital magazine
  • Ability to work on applications and digital publication
  • Ability to share knowledge through presentations
  • Ability to code (basic HTML and CSS) so that you can speak responsive web and app design and development
  • Experience designing for international audiences
  • Experience working in a remote team
  • Experience with creating a design system
  • Experience with an animated SVG system

The compensation range for the position in the U.S. is -
$134,160 to $254,880 based on a full-time schedule.

Your actual compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. The pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city or local minimum wage requirement.

There is a different applicable compensation range for the following work locations: 

California: $147,600 to $305,880 

Colorado: $134,160 to$254,880 

New York City: $161,040 to $305,880 

Washington: $147,600 to $280,320 

Washington DC: $147,600 to $280,320 

This position will be eligible for Kyndryl’s discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Kyndryl’s applicable plans. You may also receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical and dental coverage, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave, and paid time off. Note: If this is a sales commission eligible role, you will be eligible to participate in a sales commission plan in lieu of the annual discretionary bonus program.
