About the Project/Role
In this key position, you will be directly accountable to the Director of Tax & Treasury, playing a crucial role in our dynamic finance organization that is undergoing significant transformation. The role encompasses supporting global treasury activities, cash management, cash forecasting activities and ongoing treasury projects as we work to create a new Treasury function within Kantar Media.
Your responsibilities will be central to the Group Treasury team, working to guarantee the integrity of our liquidity management, cash flow forecasting and supporting our global finance teams with their treasury requirements. As an integral part of our team, you will contribute significantly to the evolution of our financial operations and the overall success of our business.
Job Role Requirements
- Support the global Treasury and wider finance team on all treasury related matters and support the growth of this new global function
- Propose solutions for the extraction of cash from the regions including improvements to bank account structures and banking partners
- Support the Group Treasury team as required on projects, including M&A, banking reorganisation or systems implementation
Accountabilities & responsibilities
- Drive cash centralisation actions and ensure they are appropriately captured in the cash forecasting system.
- Support regions on all treasury related matters.
- Lead the management of dividend, loan and transfer pricing payments to the centre across your allocated region.
- Review and manage cash balances against cash targets and work with local teams to repatriate cash to the centre to meet targets
- Develop and improve central Treasury processes
- Work with local teams to identify treasury risks and solutions to manage those risks.
- Support in planning the future state of the Treasury function
- Support cash forecasting process improvements
- Support regional teams in the use of the newly implemented cash forecasting process
- Support the wider team on day-to-day treasury issues and projects as required
Role Requirements
- Significant experience in global corporate treasury operations, with a proven track record of progressively responsible roles and an understanding of the accounting impact of Treasury
- Ability to work across time zones and global regions to influence and implement decisions
- In-depth knowledge of risk management principles and practices related to treasury operations, including the ability to assess and mitigate financial risks effectively through the use of financial instruments
- Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements related to treasury operations and the ability to ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations
- Familiarity with treasury management systems (and other financial software tools; ability to leverage technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy in treasury operations
- Ability to work collaboratively in a high-performance work environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex financial concepts to various stakeholders
