Overview
In this Senior Treasury Analyst position, you will perform complex treasury operations involving cash funds, foreign exchange, incoming payments and capital management for our Asia region. At this senior level, you will lead and conduct multiple projects and initiatives within Treasury and other parts of the organization with widespread impact across Compassion. We’re looking for someone who will be an expert analyst on major, critical research and strategic initiatives. You may coach the work of other analysts and related staff.
What will you do?

Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintaining a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully uphold Compassion’s ministry in prayer.

Act as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children. Understand Christ’s mandate to protect children. Commit to and prioritizes child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks and activities across the ministry. Abide by all behavioral expectations in Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Report any concerns of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children through Compassion’s internal reporting process and appropriately support responses to incidents if they occur.

Uphold and engage in Compassion’s core Cultural Behaviors.

Build, maintain, and analyze cash flow forecasting for the Asia Region. Review forecast variances and work closely with other ministry areas to ensure variances are investigated and forecasting is improved, administering Cash Management, including daily cash positioning, short-term and long-term cash flow forecasting and analysis of working capital.

Perform analysis of Foreign Exchange Risk and execution of hedging strategy in accordance with Compassion’s Exchange Policy and analyzes and monitors counterparty exposure.

Manage intercompany settlements for international field offices for the Asia Region.

Evaluate potential investment opportunities for excess cash both domestically and internationally, in compliance with Compassion’s investment policy.

Manage relationships with banking systems, including opening of global bank accounts, and monitoring of bank signatories, to include assistance in establishing and managing relationships with banks and other financial institutions internationally within Asia.

Analyze process documentation for all Treasury operations and support ad hoc Treasury-related projects such as defined benefit, defined contribution, debt, insurance and disbursement optimization within the Asia Region.

Oversee and make recommendations to senior Finance leadership to improve management of accounts receivables and accounts payables.

Coach and provide expertise, and may oversee the work of other professionals and support staff in the treasury discipline. A self-starter mentality is crucial for leading and mentoring teams, particularly in the context of the Asia region.

Bachelor’s degree

8-10 years of professional experience relevant to the above responsibilities

Experience in global banking, including opening/closing bank accounts and signatory maintenance

Proven ability to work efficiently without high-touch oversight; self-starter with a learner’s mentality

Ability to build strong relationships; ability to work and communicate well across cultures
