Seneca Global Services, LLC is looking for a Senior Test Engineer to support our military client with their test and evaluation instrumentation investment programs.
The Senior Test Engineer in White Sands Missile Range, NM or Chatsworth, CA. This position will be hybrid with local and domestic travel. The qualified candidate will provide extensive research, technical assessments, and policy recommendations on existing and emerging technologies critical to the United States maintaining superior military capabilities.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and coordinate requirements, test plans and procedures for assigned instrumentation systems.
- Provide expertise and technical oversight on electro-optical (EO) components, precision optical tracking systems, and the MITS/ARTIS acquisitions.
- Advise the government on matters associated with production/manufacturing operations and Department of Defense (DoD) weapons systems activities relative to DoD T&E capabilities.
- Formulate tactical and strategic resource investment and management plans, such as, Project Management Plans (PMP), Test Capability Requirements Documents (TCRD), Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMP), Life Cycle Management Plans (LCMP), Use-Case development and other requirements and resource documents, to address test capability shortfalls of existing facilities.
- Identify and assess risks and gaps/shortfalls of required T&E capabilities based on a comparison of current versus required future capabilities for DoD platforms and systems.
- Support assigned project meetings, reviews and technical interchanges, as required.
Basic Qualifications:
- Active Secret Clearance required.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience in MRTFB operations, including experience on Test Resource Management Center (TRMC) investment projects.
- Minimum 3 years' experience performing Program Management duties within Central Test and Evaluation Investment Program (CTEIP) areas, such as Joint Improvement and Modification (JIM), Quick Reaction Test Capabilities (QRTC), Pre-planned Product Improvements (P3I) , or Service T&E/S&T at various ACAT levels.
- DAWIA Level III Certified in T&E and/or SPRDE (additional years of experience may be accepted in lieu of certification)
- Expert knowledge of the DoD acquisition processes, policies, and guidance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills, with an advanced understanding of customer relationship building.
- Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Excel.
Desired Skills:
- Master's degree in engineering discipline or related science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) field.
- Knowledge of DoD components, organizational structures, functions, and communication protocols.
