Position Overview:
Boeing is seeking experienced Optical Engineers to join our team in Albuquerque, NM supporting advanced concepts development. We are seeking candidates with experience in optical design, integration of optical systems, and field testing of systems. This position will work with extremely talented, high performing, multi-disciplined engineering teams to work on start-of-the-art adaptive optics and optical imaging systems.

Position Responsibilities:

Develops architectures to integrate systems and components into higher level systems and platforms.

Performs trade studies, modeling, simulation and other forms of analysis to predict component, interconnects and system performance and to optimize design around established requirements.

Defines and conducts tests of various kinds to validate performance of designs to requirements. These tests could include, but not limited to, optical metrology of individual components, testing optical breadboards to be integrated into larger systems, working with engineering teams to test full systems, etc.

Analyzes data to validate designs of complex systems.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
-
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science. Degree in optical engineering is preferred

5+ years of experience performing modeling and/or simulation of Electro-Optical and Infrared systems with a technical computing language, such as Matlab or Mathematica

5+ years of experience with design, development, testing, and troubleshooting of advanced Electro-Optical Systems
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Active Top Secret Security Clearance

Experience working with adaptive optics systems

Position Overview:
Boeing is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join our team in Albuquerque, NM developing new advanced concepts for the DoD. This position will be starting on the ground floor of a new program with requirements definition, setting up requirements management tools and processes, working with the multi-skilled team to complete an SRR/SFR. The position will support the entire life cycle of the program through design, procurement, integration, test, and validation. The ideal candidate will have experience in validation and verification, reliability, availability, maintainability, testability, and integration & test. Were also seeking experience with DOORS and CAMEO tools.

Position Responsibilities:

Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to lead activities to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced systems and system solutions.

Evaluate customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.

Analyzes for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.

Active Top Secret security clearance

3+ years of experience with CONOPS development

Summary pay range (level 3): $97,750 - $132,250
Summary pay range (level 4): $118,150 - $159,850
Summary pay range (level 5): $145,350 - $196,650
