Technical Product Owner – Data Platform

Our Product team is looking for a Technical Product Owner who is passionate about innovating and delivering high quality, differentiated data solutions across Enablon’s integrated risk platform.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the product manager to spearhead the development of the data platform roadmap, ensuring alignment with overarching company objectives.

  • Foster close collaboration with stakeholders across transverse engineering teams and departments, gathering requirements and conceptualizing potential solutions.

  • Leverage a comprehensive understanding of data engineering to effectively align technical capabilities with business goals.

  • Take ownership of prioritizing and managing the backlog for the data platform, ensuring that deliverables are aligned with strategic priorities.

  • Craft user stories and facilitate backlog refinement sessions to ensure clear communication and alignment within the team.

  • Solid understanding of latest technology developments and trends, providing informed recommendations to enhance the technical offering of the platform.

  • Champion an agile mindset beyond frameworks, striving to create an environment where engineering and product teams are empowered and autonomous in their roles.

  • Draw upon experience in technical organizations to make informed decisions regarding buy versus build scenarios.

  • Contribute to the maintenance of product and technical documentation, ensuring clarity and accessibility for internal and external stakeholders.

Basic Requirements:

  • University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related area 

  • Deep interest in Product Management, ideally with at least 2+ year experience working as a Technical Product Manager and/or Product Owner. 

  • Data engineering background with at least 3+ years working as a Software Engineer and/or Data Engineer

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to understand stakeholder requirements clearly and translate this to the technical teams. 

  • Ideally, experience working with Azure Services and big data frameworks/tools.

  • Solid understanding of how to build a modern and scalable big data systems.

  • Has user-centric design mindset.

  • Is comfortable working in an agile environment.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Adaptable to an ever-changing development environment.

  • Strong work ethic & high degree of integrity.
